Summer Opera Theatre Company Update

Summer Opera Theatre Company has cancelled its 2009 scheduled productions of La Traviata and The Merry Widow.

Although advance ticket sales and contributions were encouraging, there just is not enough money to enable the Company to mount successful productions.

Nevertheless, we anticipate that as economic conditions gradually improve, so will our financial state.

All patrons who have purchased advance tickets have been offered full refunds. Summer Opera will greatly appreciate the gift— should all or a portion of that purchase be converted to a contribution—to support the company while it evaluates its plans and solicits support for future projects. All requests for refunds must be received by July 1st, 2009.
